This traceable yarn is woolen-spun, sport-weight and 2-ply. Its 2-ply structure makes it great for stockinette, lace and stranded colourwork knitting, as the fabric flattens out once washed and blocked. Because these sheep are raised outside, there is some lanolin and dirt left in the yarn and it requires a thorough washing after knitting. The good news is that washing and blocking your knit is a very satisfying process with this yarn.
The only travel this yarn has done is from our farm to the spinning mill which is a distance of just over 300 km.
