Villa Vest

Every so often, a knitter requests to buy the Villa Vest pattern digitally and I have to say that unfortunately that was an in-print only pattern published by @taprootmag . Even more unfortunate, Taproot Magazine is now out of business. It was a great little publication. It seems to be the sad fate of many in-print publications these days.

But good news! I have gained publication rights to this pattern and can now release it independently! That means the Villa Vest is now available for purchase digitally.

The Villa Vest features garter with a decorative twisted stitch pattern, reminiscent of little rooftops, which runs the length of the garment in two panels. This garment is worked flat from the bottom up in two pieces, which are seamed together at shoulders and sides once finished. The collar is picked up from the garment and worked in the round but inside out so that the twisted ribbing will show on the garment’s right side when it is folded over. There is no shaping involved, except along the neckline and shoulders. Be sure to maintain st patterns as sections are bound off or decreased.

This pattern comes in 6 sizes, fitting busts 30 to 64″ (76.5 to 162.5cm) with
7.5-11.5 inches (19-29cm) of recommended positive ease.

I hope you enjoy the Villa Vest! I love to see and share your projects! If you like, you can tag them with @the.bluebird.box. Uploading a project page to Ravelry or pinning the pattern through Pinterest is really appreciated. Thank you for supporting my creative work!

Much love,

Anna
